Build a LiveCycle ES Encryption Process using Watched Folders

This video tutorial shows how anyone can use LiveCycle ES Workbench to build a simple process with watched folders as endpoints to encrypt PDF documents. The watched folder configuration was done as it was suggested on the Google Livecycle Developers list.

If you want to seriously geek out on this and try it, you can download LiveCycle ES from

  1. Hey Duane, would it be easy to do something similar for Reader Extending pdfs?

  2. yes. What endpoints would you like? Can you give me the parameters and I'll make a tutorial.

  3. I was thinking a hotfolder kinda thing. We sell RE licenses to other areas and thought it would be handy if anyone could drop a pdf in a hotfolder. Would one need different hotfolders for different RE requirements?

Other than that I'm not sure as I don't have any idea what I'm doing. :)

All we have at the moment is Workbench and Reader Extensions and I'm trying to find things to get me learning Workbench as I've not used it. This tutorial of yours was a big help in getting closer!

I thought this might be a good use case for that as you'd have to talk to another server component to get things done.
